Pak violates ceasefire along LoC in J&K's Kupwara district; five civilians wounded

In Jammu and Kashmir, five civilians including a woman were wounded in firing from Pakistan forces along Line of Control (LoC) in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district today.

Security sources said that in a ceasefire violation Pakistani forces resorted to unprovoked firing and shelling in the morning hours between 6 to 10 A.M., injuring five residents in Dhani and Hajitara villages of Tangdar Sector along Line of Control in the frontier district. They said, four injured persons were treated locally and their condition is stated to be stable. However, a wounded youngster has been shifted to Srinagar hospital for specialized treatment.

Sources added that two residential houses were also damaged in the Pakistani shelling.
