PM Modi accuses previous govts of neglecting people and not completing projects on time

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today accused previous governments of neglecting the people and not completing development projects on time. He said those who are shedding crocodile tears for farmers today should be asked as to why they did not complete projects which were left incomplete throughout the nation during their tenure. 


Mr Modi was addressing a public meeting after inaugurating the Bansagar canal project and laying the foundation of Mirzapur medical college on the second day of his two-day visit to Uttar Pradesh.


The Prime Minister said the NDA government is working hard to improve the lot of farmers He said that the day is not very far when farmers will get double their present income.


Referring to the ambitious Bansagar canal project, Mr Modi said it would provide a big boost to irrigation in the region and will be greatly beneficial to the farmers of Mirzapur and Allahabad districts.


The Prime Minister also inaugurated 100 jan aushadhi kendras in the state. Mr Modi said after the BJP government assumed office in the state, the development work in Purvanchal has been accelerated and its results can be seen by everyone today.
