Madhya Pradesh: Around 41 districts of state lockdown in view of Corona virus infection

In Madhya Pradesh, around 41 districts of the state including the capital Bhopal have been lockdown in view of Corona virus infection. However, essential services will remain operational during this period. According to official sources, the capital Bhopal has been locked up till March 31 to prevent corona. At the same time, other major cities of the state Gwalior, Indore, Jabalpur, Sagar, Rewa and many other cities are lockdown for the various periods.

Due to this, almost all shops in all these cities are closed; buses, trains and all other transport services were also closed. However, essential services will remain in effect during this period. So far, the number of corona infected has increased to six in the state. Five positive patients have been found in Jabalpur and one in Bhopal.

Apart from this, cases of 75 probables from across the state were sent to Pune, Nagpur, Bhopal and Jabalpur for investigation, out of which six were found positive, 48 negative and  reports of 12 cases are yet to come. In addition, 1208 passengers from the affected countries have been identified. Of these, 709 were kept in isolation and the surveillance for 405 passengers was completed. With this, 12 thousand 5 hundred 76 passengers have been screened at different airports in the state.
