Karnataka CM calls meeting of Bengaluru legislators to discuss mitigation measures for COVID-19 pandemic

Karnataka Chief Minister B. S. Yediyurappa has called a meeting of legislators from Bengaluru tomorrow morning to discuss mitigation measures for COVID-19 pandemic.
Due to an alarming rise in the COVID cases, the Chief Minister is likely to ask the legislators to extend all possible cooperation in the containment measures. Meanwhile, the Medical Education Minister Dr. K Sudhakar held a meeting with private hospital management today. After the meeting, he informed media persons that private hospitals have come forward to reserve 3,500 beds for COVID treatment in the city. The private medical establishments have also promised to set up COVID Care Centres for treating asymptomatic patients for which they have said that hotels will be used for the purpose. The Minister also said that to increase the number of tests in the city, the Health Department is making preparations to conduct one lakh antigen tests from this weekend. He appealed to people to be honest and brave while taking the COVID tests.
