Harsh Vardhan felicitates families of organ donors at AIIMS

Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan today felicitated the families of organ donors at a function organised at AIIMS in New Delhi.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Vardhan said, these organ donors have served humanity and it will inspire the people and the whole country to come forward for this noble cause. He said, it will further strengthen the awareness campaign of the government towards organ donation.

Speaking on the occasion, Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Kiren Rijiju stressed the need for creating more awareness towards organ donation as the rate of organ donation is less in the country.

Mr Rijiju said it will save the lives of patients who require vital organs in order to survive.


Boxer and Parliamentarian M C Mary Kom also appealed to the people to support the movement towards organ donation.
