HRD Minister, Himachal Pradesh CM lay foundation stone of Central University in Kangra district

Union Human Resource Minister Prakash Javadekar and Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur laid foundation stone of Central University at Dehra in Kangra district today. 

Speaking on this occasion, Mr Javadekar said, the Centre would provide all possible assistance to ensure that the University Campus is completed at the earliest. 

The Minister informed that the Centre has sanctioned several national institutions in the State. He said IIIT has been sanctioned for Una and IIT for Mandi. Besides this, several Central Schools have also been sanctioned for the State. 

Prakash Javadekar said the Union Government is committed to providing digital boards in a phased manner in about nine lakh schools in the country.
