Gujarat govt signs around 130 MoUs with investment commitments worth over Rs 56,000 cr in various sectors

Gujarat government has signed around 130 MoUs with investment commitments worth over 56,000 crore rupees in various sectors on the first day of the three-day Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit. 

Officials at a press meet said that a majority of the MoUs were signed in the port and transport sectors.

China-based Tsingshan group has committed to invest 21,000 crore rupees to set up a steel plant and a facility to manufacture car batteries. 

Besides this mega agreement, MoUs worth over 35,000 crore rupees were also signed during the opening day of the three-day business conclave.
