10 persons killed in post-poll violence in West Bengal: Mamata

FILE PIC: PTI
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has said that 10 persons were killed in post-poll violence in the State.

Replying to the Governor’s Address in the State Assembly today, Ms. Banerjee said eight deaths were of Trinamool Congress supporters and the remaining two of BJP supporters.

She alleged that BJP is trying to create anarchy in the state. She appealed to the Opposition Congress and CPI(M) to come forward for a joint fight against the BJP.

Referring to the cut money issue, she warned that the Government will not tolerate if anyone takes law in their hand.

The Chief Minister said that the administration will take stern action against those who spread fake news.
