Congress today alleged that Prime Minister Office is misusing the NITI Aayog during the ongoing election campaign.

Talking to media after meeting the Election Commission, senior party leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi claimed that through the NITI Aayog the PMO is gathering information on several things from the states where the Prime Minister is supposed to campaign.

He said, his party has submitted a memorandum in this regard citing that government machinery cannot be misused during the elections. The Congress leader said the Commission should pass immediate directions to the relevant authorities to prevent the Prime Minister from misusing any government agencies or officials for campaign purposes.
