Govt & society should support divyangjan to lead dignified life: Vice President

Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu today said that it should be the collective responsibility of the government and the society to support divyangjan and empower them to lead a dignified life. 

The Vice President was addressing the gathering at a cultural performance presented by divyangjan in New Delhi today. 

He said, empowerment of divyangjan should start with the complete annihilation of discriminatory tendencies against them. 

Mr Naidu said, as a society, there is a  need to ensure that no stigma is attached to disability and to learn to recognize the valuable human assets we have in people with special needs.
