VP Venkaiah Naidu stresses on holistic education

Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu today stressed on the holistic education which can impart enlightenment and awakening to students of our education institutes besides encouraging their creativity.

Addressing the gathering at the Platinum Jubilee Celebrations of Andhra Vidyalaya College of Arts, Science & Commerce, in Hyderabad, he said, all international agencies have recognized India as a country with young population. 

He said, this will be a game changer in economic development and can transform the pace and pattern of economic growth. Mr Naidu also emphasized the need for focusing on human capital by way of healthcare, quality education, providing jobs and skills. 

Stating that the country has made considerable strides in human development, he said, India is still grappling with challenges of illiteracy, barriers to secondary schooling, low-quality public services, and gender discrimination.

Advocating an aggressive education plan to be in place, he said, the new technological opportunities should be exploited for the same.
