Russian Parliament Speaker meets Vice President Venkaiah Naidu

Rajya Sabha Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu and Chairman of Duma of Russian Parliament, Mr Vyacheslav Volodin have called for effective parliamentary exchanges for strengthening convergence of views. 


Mr Volodin with a high-level Russian Parliamentary delegation and called on Mr Naidu to hold wide range of discussions on bilateral ties in New Delhi on Monday.


Mr  Volodin has stressed the need for enhancing parliamentary exchanges between the two countries to enable the necessary legislative framework to fully harness the potential of India-Russia ties in various sectors.


Mr Naidu said, the convergence of views between India and Russia on various international and multilateral matters need to be taken forward through parliamentary exchanges. 


He also referred to the menace of terrorism threatening the socio-economic fabric across the world and called for increased global cooperation against it.
