Gujarat: Written examination for recruitment of Police constables to take place on Jan 6

In Gujarat, the written examination for the recruitment of Lok Rakshak Dal / Police constables in state Police, which was cancelled following paper leak, will take place on 6th  January. This was announced by the State Government in an official statement today. 

Earlier, this examination had to be conducted on 2nd December but cancelled due to paper leak.  As many as 8.75 lakh candidates have been offered free transportation in buses of Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC) for appearing in re-examination on 6th  January. 

The Chairman of Gujarat Lok-Rakshak Recruitment board, Mr. Vikas Sahay has said that fresh call letters will be issued to candidates very soon. AIR correspondent reports that so far 8 persons have been arrested for their alleged involvement in paper leak and sent in police remand.
