Thaawarchand Gehlot opens admissions in Dr. B.R. Ambedkar School of Media Empowerment to train Dalit and Tribal youths

Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Thaawarchand Gehlot today opened nationwide admissions to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar School of Media Empowerment, New Delhi, to train Dalit and Tribal youths in media studies.

The Media School, first of its kind for Dalit of Tribal youths, is supported by Indian Institute for Mass Communication, IIMC. 

The school will be having its branches in Pune, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and other parts of the country.

Rajya Sabha MP Amar Sable, Former MP Tarun Vijay, Director General of IIMC  K.G. Suresh, were present on the occasion.

Mr Gehlot said, the Media school is an effort to encourage the youth belonging to these marginalized segments to find their place through profession of journalism.
