@airnewss
The Indian Coast Guard has said, the oil spill at the Kamarajar Port in Ennore, Chennai has been removed after two days of operation by its vessels since Monday.

The oil spill occurred in the early hours of Sunday when the discharge hose of a private ship MT Coral Stars burst, letting out about two tonnes of furnace fuel oil.

The Coast Guard made aerial sorties and identified the spread of the oil slick. It pressed into service its specialised pollution control vessel Samudra Paheredar along with five other ships to clean-up nearly two tonnes of the thick oil.
