Corruption had ruined nation when Congress was in power: PM Narendra Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that corruption had ruined the nation when Congress was in power. He said, to tackle it, government is constantly making efforts and impact is clearly visible. Addressing a poll rally in Jhabua Madhya Pradesh today, Mr Modi said, through technology government is bringing transparency in the entire system. Referring to the achievements of his government, he said what his government did in four years, Congress could not work in its 55 years of rule.

Prime Minister said Madhya Pradesh does not deserve a government which never thinks about the state's welfare. Acknowledging Shivraj Singh Chouhan's achievements, Mr Modi said that he achieved in 15 years what Congress governments could not achieve in 50 years. He said in 2009, Congress promised to waive farm loans, but after winning the election, it did not waive loans. Prime Minister said that it is his endeavour to double farmers’ income by 2022, when India celebrates 75 years of independence. He said the mantra of his government is the education to the children, earning for the youth, the irrigation for the farmers and the medicines to the elderly through various welfare schemes like Mudra, Ujjwala, rural roads and Jan Aushadhi kendras. Prime Minister added that Mudra Yojana empowered the country’s youth, gave them courage and renewed their hope. Prime Minister will also address a rally in Rewa today. 

Meanwhile, Samajwadi party leader Akhilesh Yadav released party manifesto in Bhopal today. BSP Chief Mayawati will also address a rally in Bhopal today, while Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala, Kamalnath, Digvijay Singh and Jyotiraditya Scindia are also campaigning in different cities.
