NITI Aayog team visits Diglipur in Andaman to review tasks progressed under IDA

A NITI Aayog team comprising Shri Amitabh Kant, CEO- NITI Aayog, Shri Jitendra Kumar, Advisor and Ms Hansa Sinha YP with officials of District Administration visited Diglipur in Andaman yesterday to review the tasks progressed in the Islands under the aegis of Islands Development Agency (IDA).

AIR Diglipur correspondent reports that the team visited Ross & Smith Islands, which is the one of the Island identified for the holistic and ecologically sustainable development.

The NITI Ayog CEO issued directions to the authorities to expedite the development activities at Ross & Smith Islands. He asked the authorities to expand the Tree top huts and world class tented accommodation at the beach area of the Smith Island.
