PM Modi describes India as one of fastest growing economies, Russia an important partner

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said India is emerging as a shining star among world economies and the government is working on a number of reforms to boost this.

Speaking at the India-Russia Business Summit in New Delhi this evening, Mr Modi said structural reforms of the last four years by the NDA government have led to this.

He said India is one of the fastest growing economies today and Russia is one of the most important partners in India's progress. Mr Modi said, 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi further said that his government brought a number of reforms in the FDI sector. Speaking on the occasion, Russian President Vladmir Putin said Russia and India need to advance industrial cooperation.

He said both nations will continue to work together to eliminate any barriers that halt the movement of goods and services.
 
Earlier, In a joint statement issued after the talks both sides expressed satisfaction at the significant progress made on the ongoing projects of military technical cooperation.

The two countries denounced terrorism in all its forms and manifestations and reiterated the need to combat international terrorism with decisive and collective response without any double standards. 

They also declared their support to Afghan government’s efforts towards the realization of an Afghan-led, and Afghan-owned national peace reconciliation process.
