Flash floods in Arunachal Pradesh claims two lives, 3 reported missing

In Arunachal Pradesh, landslides and flash floods, triggered by incessant rain for the last couple of days, have left a trail of destruction at many places. 

In the Itanagar Capital Complex area, rain-related incidents have claimed two lives and three are reported missing. A number of houses have also been damaged. NDRF teams have been pressed into service and search and rescue operations are in full swing.
 
Chief Minister Pema Khandu has expressed grief over the loss of lives and announced ex-gratia of 4 lakh rupees each to the next of kins of the deceased. All Deputy Commissioners have been directed to keep a strict vigil.
