Assam: Flash floods affect nearly 15,000 people in Golaghat, Dhemaji distt

In Assam, nearly 15 thousand people have been affected by flash floods at Golaghat and Dhemaji district. Flood waters damaged over 600 hectare of crop areas. Golaghat district administration has set up relief camps where over 1500 people are taking shelter.
Meanwhile, Dhemaji district administration has advised people to remain following the increase in the water level of Siang river in Arunachal Pradesh. However, administration told people not to panic as the concerned authorities are constantly monitoring the situation.
