Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu has given a call to all religious leaders to embrace downtrodden sections of society. He said this will create a feeling of oneness and help take country forward.

He was speaking after inaugurating Sri Channaveera Deshikendra Gurukula Building as part of 103rd Jayanthi Celebrations of Jagadguru Dr. Sri Shivarathri Rajendra Mahaswamiji in Karnataka today. The Vice President noted that a feeling of oneness among all the castes and creeds will spur development and help build the country as one strong entity. Taking exceptions to the gender bias, he said, mother must play an important role to check this bias.
