NDRF says as flood situation improves in Kerala, force now focusing on distribution of relief materials

The National Disaster Response Force, NDRF has said that as the flood situation in Kerala has improved in the last two-three days, the force is now focusing on distribution of relief materials.

Talking exclusively to AIR this evening, Director General of NDRF Sanjay Kumar said, the force is assisting the state administration in restoration of civil supplies and essential services.

He said, 58 teams of NDRF were deployed in 10 districts of Kerala with adequate number of boats and life saving equipments to deal with crisis like landslides and house collapse.

 The NDRF DG said, the force stood upto its motto “AAPDA SEVA SADAIV" with utmost sincerity and dedication. He said, teams of the force are being reduced as the flood situation in Kerala has improved.
