PM Modi meets leaders of Russia, Turkey, Angola and Argentina

Prime Minister Narendra Modi held bilateral talks with President of Russia, Turkey, Angola and Argentina on the sidelines of BRICS Summit at Johannesburg in South Africa today. 

During his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Mr Modi discussed bilateral issues of mutual interest especially trade, investment, energy, defence and tourism. 

During his meeting with Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan, Mr Modi congratulated him on his re-election as President for a new five-year term. 

With Angolan President Joao Lourenco, Mr. Modi discussed intensifying relations in trade and investment, agriculture and food processing, pharma, oil and natural gas. 

Mr. Modi also held bilateral meeting with Argentine President Mauricio Macri. In a tweet, PMO said, Mr Modi and Mr Macri talked about strengthening relations in the areas of agriculture, pharmaceuticals and investment. As President of G-20, Mr. Macri was invited to participate in the BRICS Summit. 

Mr Modi arrived in Johannesburg on Wednesday to attend the two day BRICS Summit, the theme of which this year was BRICS in Africa.
