Nearly 1.52 lakh Yatris worshiped at holy Amarnath cave

In Jammu and Kashmir, nearly one lakh 52 thousand Yatris worshiped at the holy Amarnath cave and performed darshan of the Shivling till last evening on the 15th day of the annual Amarnath pilgrimage. 

The Yatra began on June 28 and will conclude on the 26th of August coinciding with the Shravan Purnima festival.  Governor N N Vohra, who is Chairman of the board, during a review meeting announced ex-gratia relief of 3 lakh rupees each to the next of kin of five yatris who died due to  stooting stones on Baltal- Holy Cave route and 3 cases of deaths in road accidents.
