Pakistani troops resort to heavy moter shelling in Akhnoor area along International border in Jammu; 2 BSF personnel martyred

In Jammu and Kashmir, two BSF personnel were martyred while three civilians were injured in the early hours today, as Pakistani forces again resorted to heavy mortar shelling in Pargwal sector of Akhnoor area along the International Border in Jammu.
BSF sources told AIR Jammu that the forces across the border started unprovoked firing targetting a BSF post in the area around 2 AM. In the cross-border firing, a BSF ASI S.N.Yadav and a Jawan Ct. V.K.Pandey were injured seriously, who later succumbed to injuries.
Pakistan’s Ranger's heavy mortar shelling is underway in the entire Pargwal sector involving over 10 border posts and 35 border villages on the Indian side.
The BSF is retaliating the shelling very effectively inflicting heavy damages on Pakistan forces across the border. Just a few ago, after heavy skirmishes, the India and Pakistan had agreed to restore ceasefire along the border.
