PM Modi holds meeting with DMs, other officials in Bihar's Motihar

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today held a meeting with District Magistrates and other officials of 13 aspirational districts of Bihar at Motihari.

The 13 districts, which are underdeveloped on the parameters of human development, have been handpicked by NITI Ayog so that their development could be fast-tracked. 

Sources said the Prime Minister discussed various aspects of development, including improvement of health, nutrition and education conditions besides the progress of Open Defecation Free Mission (ODF).

Mr. Modi also took stock of the progress of various centrally sponsored schemes being implemented in these districts.

Union Drinking Water and Sanitation Ministry Secretary Parmeshwaran Aiyyer was also present at the meeting. 

He won applaud from the Prime Minister publically at Swacchata conference at Motihari.
