PM to address farmers rally this afternoon in Davangere in Central Karnataka

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address a farmers' rally this afternoon in Davangere in Central Karnataka. As a run-up to the Assembly election, the state BJP has organised the rally to be attended by senior leaders. The party sources say that over 2 lakh people from Chittadurga, Shimoga and Davangere are expected to attend the rally. Over 2000 police personnel in addition to reserved and armed reserve platoons are deployed to oversee security arrangements. CCTV cameras are put up to monitor the situation.
